IRL scheduling workshop 22 August 2026 – reflections
I had soooo much fun!!! I had a great group of 6 students, some I knew, some I met for the first time and all coming from a variety of backgrounds and experience. I had experienced producers and directors, someone from theatre, a young AD working their way up the ranks, a few recently graduated from film school and all hungry to know more about scheduling.
It was great to be teaching again, especially face to face. It was very interactive, everyone was engaged and the discussions were energised. And I have just employed the young AD to be my 3rd on a film I am 1st ADing.
Funny thing about ADing is I keep trying NOT to do it anymore but somehow I keep getting asked to do it and I keep saying yes, I am just more selective about it these days. But I need to get my act together and tidy up my own slate as a producer.
I forgot to take a photo so here is an AI generated image of a diverse group of people enjoying a workshop about film scheduling.
